Burned my lungs with a hydro-chloric gas 8 months ago. Resulting oxidation has got me wheezing and coughing like an old lady. Seeking suggestions for long-term and complete healing. Thanks in advance!

Re: Healing the Lungs
Tue, August 2, 2005 - 10:47 AMmy friend lisa once told me that after 4 or so days of fasting that your lungs do some sort of inside out acrobatics and bathe themselves in the purified blood..
i wonder if this is true ..?
..also.. i know doing some underwater laps (wellsprings fer shur) couldn't hurt. anytime i feel a need for lung purification i do this & my lungs always feel so much healthier. just swim like a frog from one end to tha otha a couple of times in a row, rinse and repeat..
i am assuming u can swim like a frog..

Re: Healing the Lungs
Tue, October 11, 2005 - 1:07 AMI've been thinking about this post for some time....now autumn is creeping in and according to TCM this is the time of the lung.
When you say wheezing cough that's sounds to me like a dry spasmodic cough (maybe like yr diaphram is squeezing all the air it possibly can out of yr lungs)
some herbs that come to mind for a tea:
Mullein leaf (&flower)as a tonic to lungs, anti-innflammatory, vulnerary (promotes wound healing), anti-spasmodic
Coltsfoot leaf & flower-another tonic for the lungs, healing and soothing, antitussive, antispasmodic, demulcent, and it has a lotta zinc in it. It also happens to have Pyrrolizidine alkaloids in it. PA's are associated with toxifying the liver when taken in large doses. The concentration of PA's in coltsfoot is very low however and there should be no problems. To be on the safe side however don't drink this if you are pregnant and drink 3 cups of tea a day for no longer than a month.
Anise- relaxing, antispasmodic, persistant irritable cough. Tastes nice.
Cinnamon- moistening to lung, lung tonic, warming, tastes good (ohh yeah)
Horsetail and gotu kola improve connective tissue tone in the mucus membranes, both can be taken long term.
Because of the oxidation I really wanted to come up with a herb or fruit that has both pulmonary tonic action and is an anti-oxidant, but I couldn't think of one. Any suggestions anyone?
Hope something here rings a bell for you elizabeth. -

Re: Healing the Lungs
Thu, December 21, 2006 - 2:00 PMWhat I have found to be the best for lung damage is mobilizing colloidal silver directly into the lung lining. Sounds complicated but is really simple, requiring a colloidal silver maker $50 to $400 and an Ultra Sonic Nebulizer, now available via many websites for $200 to $500 for nice, small, portable units. And this may sound expensive in contrast to herbals and swimming but this is a pair of units you'll use hundreds of times on many people over years. I figured out recently I've produced and distributed over $4 million worth of Colloidal Silver with my little machine outdoing the Peace Core and Red Cross in the little valley in Guatemala I adopted in the 90's. -
