Re: method
Wed, October 6, 2004 - 9:03 AMRight now I'm a student in an apprenticeship and have been for a couple years (different ones). I find it fascinating the people just come to me asking (almost from sheer curiosity vs. believing anything would really "help"). So, to answer you, i want to serve my community (my home members, animals, plants) and hopefully will serve womyn and their families (prenatally, during and after birth) as well as empowering womyn-to-be and our elders. I want to bring all the generations back together to learn from each other after generations of separation...
whew.
how about you? -

Re: method
Tue, October 12, 2004 - 11:07 AMI don't think I have one... actually, I'm not even sure what "fields" there are within herbal medicine. I just have had to take responsibility for my own health care my whole life because I don't have insurance or money and more or less have devoted my life to living without money as much as possible, and have learned a lot of plants from a lot of wise people and from the plants themselves.
I just know that for me, herbalism is about a relationship with the plants, preferably in their wild environment, not about paying money for gelcaps made in a factory and packed by a machine in a plastic bottle (with a drawing of the plant on the label).

Re: method
Tue, October 12, 2004 - 11:37 AMThere is so much to learn... so many wise people here on tribe...
Im taking in what i can and leaning what people will teach me.
I love to grow, and i really want to learn more on wild crafting.
Ive been finding TCM to be really interesting. Im really excited cause i got some Wolfberries to start growing, and on top of that since i moved back to danville my Yerba Mate Plant has grown, alot. I dont know what it is, or why it suddenly decided to... sadly im afraid i may have to halt the growth on one side... it seems to be growing way to fast in one direction... But I love that plant.
anyhow, i sidetracked...
I love tribe, because its such a wealth of information.
everyday i learn something new -

Tue, May 24, 2005 - 6:26 PMHiya,
Where did you get a Yerba Mate plant? I would like to grow it also as I drink it alot.
As for method, I'm a shamn and created a modality called advanced chakra therapy that combines advanced healing such as core connections, soul retrieval and psychic healing with the transformation of core belief and life patterns. And most important how to apply and live what is shifted to our daily lives and goals. The method is unique to each person.
Hugs,
Linda
